I asked the Lord in prayer for a Valentine’s Day poem for my beautiful precious wife…He answered and gave to me these words.
I want to take a moment to speak to young men who are seeking a wife, also, to young ladies wanting a husband.
Young man, if you have an addiction to pornography, do not be deceived to believe that marriage is going to fix this for you. Please deal with this sin BEFORE you marry. Pray, repent, confess your sin; go to men you trust to help overcome this sin first. You will hurt and destroy another person if you do not do this first.
Young woman, if you have such an addiction, I advise you to do the same. If you do not have such a struggle and begin to suspect the young man you are dating-courting has this problem…RUN AWAY as fast as you can unless he is willing to admit his sin and deal with it BEFORE he marries you.
This is my advice to my daughters.
Please…PLEASE…take this advice.
Also, elders and parents, please do not facilitate this false idea either. I repeat…MARRIAGE DOES NOT FIX this kind of DESTRUCTIVE SIN…rather this sin–crouching at the door, ready to devour–will destroy the marriage and the home and ALL the lives involved.
Self-control, by prayer, the word of God, in the Holy Spirit and openness and honesty, IS POSSIBLE. It is our promise that we are partakes of the divine nature…in Christ all things are possible. Amen.
Therefore David blessed the Lord in the presence of all the assembly. And David said: “Blessed are you, O Lord , the God of Israel our father, forever and ever. Yours, O Lord , is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, O Lord , and you are exalted as head above all. Both riches and honor come from you, and you rule over all. In your hand are power and might, and in your hand it is to make great and to give strength to all. And now we thank you, our God, and praise your glorious name.
